Girls4Girls presents our fourth annual fundraiser, 'Baja Nights'. Please join us for a night of local talent, food and drinks as well as local vendors, silent auction, 50/50 and more. All proceeds will be going towards supporting the building and maintenance of Los Cabos' first Safe House for Women. The center will provide women in the community with access to free medical care, counselling, group therapy and a safe haven for times of duress.
We thank you for your continued support and can't wait to see you there!

Girls4Girls is a non-profit organization that works to empower women both locally and globally. For over eight years, Girls4Girls has financially supported the Helderberg Rape Crisis centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The Centre is a safe place for women to be treated post-sexual assault. Although the first priority the Centre is to provide adequate medical treatment for survivors, their support goes beyond the initial practical response. Also available is extended counselling and legal aid to survivors and their family members, fostering a community of resilience. In November 2017, members of the Girls4Girls board of directors travelled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a region recently devastated by hurricanes and tropical storms. While we often associate this area with resorts and beaches, just a ten minute drive north lies a community named El Caribe, which provides stark contrast to what tourists normally see. We had the honour to visit the locals and earnestly listen to what their needs are. We hosted three workshops in the area with local translators to open dialogue around gender issues. The women were courageous in sharing with us their struggles and triumphs and we left feeling broken hearted but hopeful that with the right support this community could flourish. We have made it our goal to raise $6,000 which will go directly to help build a community safe house where women can gather, support each other, be provided with basic necessities, and stay in times of duress.
